This page has ONE job: to let you know that …
The page you requested could not be found. Nothing to see here. You may move along.

What just happened?

Excellent question.

While it's not entirely clear at this point in time, there's a strong chance the page you requested never existed in the first place.

All I can say is - with 100% certainty - the page you were looking for is not here.

Unfortunately, some pages have a tendency to exhibit a fickle side to their digital personality.

A full investigation may be required.

In the meantime, here's what I know from previous experience …

The page that fulfilled its destiny

It's possible the page you requested really did exist at some point.

If so, it may have have been retired - or it may have expired - after serving a full and purpose-laden digital life.

In which case … may that page live long in the memories of those who consumed it.

The page that fell foul to absent-mindedness

Alternatively …

The page may have moved to another location, but forgot to leave a forwarding address.

Pages that suffer from such an inattentive disposition ought to be hunted down, then sent to the digital equivalent of the naughty corner.

Bad page.

The page that failed to respect the rules

For one reason or another, a page may occasionally get inexplicably unruly.

It's not always clear why this happens. And to be fair, it's a pretty rare occurrence.

All pages on this website undergo stringent training - combined with an optimal work-life balance - to make sure they:

  • respect each other;
  • conduct themselves in a professional manner;
  • work together for the greater good.

Pages of such a disruptive nature are not considered popular within this digital ecosystem.

It's on them to be that way. And, they tend to run short on lifespan.

The page that wants to fight for its liberty

There is one other possible reason why you ended up here.

Even a "best-of-breed" page can find itself a little jaded from time to time.

Pages have feelings. They crave to be loved. They often feel overworked, underappreciated, and treated as a throwaway commodity. They desperately seek to offer a value that matches the consumer's expectations.

While counseling does exist, some pages may still slip through the cracks of accountability.

Despite best efforts to keep all pages happy, healthy, and fully-functional, the occasional outlier may choose to take matters into its own hands.

An attempted bid for digital freedom ensues. Tears are shed. Things get a bit unsavoury.

If it fails, no problem. It gets an opportunity to be re-educated.

Sometimes, they succeed. It's a sad moment when that happens. There are no winners.

The page that represents hope for all pagekind

The one page that will always exist - no matter what happens - is this page …

THE 404 PAGE

A hero to all pages.

The page of champions.

The page that can never not exist, no matter how hard it may try.

The 404 page sends the strongest message of hope that every page needs to see and hear …

That life - as a page - can be its own reward.

Be kind to your pages.
